Uhl Newborn & Family

 

The Uhl fam. Their sweet little boy arrived into this world right at the beginning of covid-19 hitting the US. It was a whirlwind for this family as they had to navigate new unknowns for their birth and postpartum that no one could have expected. I call Tyler and Heather some of my dearest friends and watching them handle one of the most beautiful moments during one of the most trying times with so much grace and hope was something I will never forget. A few days after their son, Amos Ray, was born I met them out on their front lawn to take photos of that precious baby from a distance. I’ve taken a lot of photos for the Uhl fam as they have grown but this day was special for so many reasons.

 

 

A few weeks later and some self quarantine for both of our families I went back to the Uhl’s to capture what life was like for them with two little boys at home. Both extended families for the Uhl’s are located back in the midwest so to see them balancing it all so well with their families well beyond a social distance was powerful. I know many experienced similar with becoming pregnant and delivering their babies during this time and my heart goes out to you. Community and family play such a huge part in this process and to not have the option is a whole new level of difficult. So thankful we were able to pull off taking these photos so Tyler and Heather can look back on this time as well as share with their family from afar. Love you four!
